Offered is an authentic original game issued/used jersey and pants that were issued to two different members of the 1963 Kansas City Athletics. This was the year that Charlie O Finley shook up the staid baseball uniform world by issuing these unusual gold and green uniforms to his players. This jersey and pants are both made of a heavier type fabric. The sleeveless jersey was worn by Pete Lovrich, pitcher for the As. His number 32 on the front and back are original numbers. The “A” on the frontside and “PETE” on the backside were nicely restored years later. The jersey is a Wilson size 44. Lovrich’s #32 is stitched on a band on the lower front along with the year 63. The jersey shows signs of use but is in good condition for its age. The only noticeable exception is the front left section around the area where the “A” is stitched, likely due to the letter replacement. The pants were worn by Bill Fischer, pitcher for the As. They were made by Wilson with a waist size of 36. 28 is stitched inside the waistline along with the year 63. The pants show good use, mainly on the backside where there were repairs made to the fabric. Please see my photos.
