In 1971 the White Sox transitioned to the Manage Chuck Tanner era donning the popular “Red Pinstripe” home uniforms which partnered with the equally popular “Powder Blue” away models and have become a favorite of die hard Sox fans. This jersey was originally issued to catcher Duane Josephson whose name appears on the collar. Josephson was traded on the final days of Spring Training in 1971 to the Boston Red Sox. This jersey was then issued to and worn by first baseman Tony Muser for the first half of the 1971 campaign.
