Authentic Flannel Philadelphia Phillies Away Game Worn Jersey from 1960 (see label). Worn by pitcher Jack Meyer (see label). It came to my possession when I played on an amateur baseball team sponsored by the Phillies and I was issued the uniform (see photo). It has been in my possession ever since 1963. The lettering and numbers are what look to be machine embroidered on a cloth backing and the #42 is significant since it was Jackie Robinson’s number which is now retired in all of major league baseball. I would consider the jersey to be in very good condition considering its age, there is some discoloration around the back of the neck, and there is a slight repair about the size of a quarter at the back of one of the shoulders.
