Amazing 1997 Minnesota Twins alternate road rookie jersey of David “Big Papi” Ortiz # 27. Ortiz retired in 2016 with the Boston Red Sox and had a Hall of Fame career. One of the most electrifying players during our generation, he started his career in Minnesota and played for the Twins from 1997 thru 2002 and played for Boston from 2003 to 2017 where he won 2 World Series Championships. He had a heck of career (see the career of an all-time great below). Jersey is made by Russell Athletic “Diamond Collection”, has everything sewn-on and is a size 50+2. On the Russell tag you can see where it had a MLB hologram serial number that came off and that’s too bad (it was to the top of the diamond and right and has slight residue as to where it was). This jersey shows great use. No repairs or damaged but its obviously been worn more than a few times. Championships, awards and honors. Championships earned or shared. Act of honor bestowed.
