Ron Jackson 1960 Boston Red Sox #5 Game Used Home White Flannel Jersey. This McAuliffe jersey is in excellent condition and exhibits moderate game use. A Certificate of Authenticity accompanies the jersey (see photo). The jersey was never displayed by me and has remained stored and dust-free since I acquired it in 2009. In 1960, the year of this game used jersey, Ron Jackson played the final season of his 7-year MLB career (1954 to 1960). It was his only season with the Red Sox. NOTE: Per the Certificate of Authenticity (see photo), it is possible that Ray Boone and/or Red Sox Manager, Pinky Higgins, wore this jersey during the 1960 season. It is a large jersey and all three men were over 6 feet tall. It is unknown to me why the authenticator assigned this jersey to Ron Jackson as both Ray Boone and Pinky Higgins also wore #5 during the 1960 season with the Boston Red Sox.
