Antique Vintage Early 1900s Game Worn Baseball Jersey + Leather Belt & Glove
It is made of a wool material and shows good use. The jersey has a large embroidered emblem on the upper left side. There is no tag in the jersey but there is a label in the waistline of the pants. It states “James Brine Athletic Company College Outfitters Boston Massachusetts”. Much of the original grey jersey is of a brown (dirt) color due to its significant usage and age. On the backside there is a 4 inch section with a 3 – 4 brown reddish stain spots. The emblem on the frontside has a very small area that has some holes but otherwise it is intact. The jersey has no obvious holes or tears, it just looks dirty. It appears that it was not washed after its final use many many years ago. The jersey measures 29 inches long not including the collar. The wool pants have most of its original grey color intact on the backside but has the brown dirty color on the frontside, mainly at the top section and lower left leg. It has, what I assume to be, its original leather belt. I see no obvious holes or tears, the same as the jersey. The pants measures 28 inches long. It is well used and worn. The very top of one finger has been cut out. It is not a large glove and is very flat. It is just short of 10 inches when measured from the middle finger to the laced bottom. The only marking I see on the glove are the words “Genuine Horsehide” on the lower front. Whether or not you are interested in purchasing this uniform. I would appreciate you contacting me. I have for sale 5 game used jerseys, 2 game used gloves, 1 Team USA un-worn autographed jersey, and a pair of game issued unworn Olympic Cleats. All of these items are for Monica Abbott (she just signed a 1 million dollar contact last season with the ScrapYard Dawgs in the NPF softball league). It is the first million-dollar contract in the history of NPF, which begins its 13th season later this month with six teams and plays a 50-game regular season. The contract is believed to be the most lucrative paid by an individual American professional franchise to an active female athlete in team sports. The Monica Abbott file. Reigning NPF Championship MVP. 2008 Olympic silver medalist, threw Games’ first perfect game. 2007 NCAA national softball player of the year. Holds NCAA records for strikeouts, shutouts, games pitched and wins. The two Washington Glory jerseys are from her pro ROOKIE season and she won the Championship, MVP, and pitched her 1st pro no-hitter. All 3 Chicago jerseys come with Team LOA’s and the LOA for the pinstripe jersey does specify this is the jersey she wore while pitching the 1st ever perfect game in Rosemont Stadium History. Only the white jersey with no pinstripes is autographed (its the way I got it from the Bandits). The 2 game used gloves came from Monica’s web site. 1 is a Olympic Tour worn and the other is a NPF worn. The Team USA jersey and the game issue cleats also came directly from Monica’s web site.
