HEALTH Patch on left sleeve (only worn in 1942). GREAT Condition for its age, 77 YEARS OLD! Cedar Rapids won the Three-I League Championship for the third time in 1942, and were wearing these jerseys as they defeated Madison on the road for the sweep, 3-0. That resulted in more fights with fans now getting involved! Needed to be escorted out of the stadium by police as fans tried to go after the teams player/manager, and former Boston Red Sox second baseman, Ollie Marquardt (shown in the last photo)! This may explain what looks like could be blood stains. Last few photos show Ollie, however unsure of which player wore this particular jersey.
