This is a 1972 Game Used Worn Atlanta Braves Jersey likely worn by Felix Millan. The Braves made a number change on this vintage jersey from either 17, 27 or 37 to 47. The “7” is original but the “4” was changed. The jersey still has all the correct tagging. There was no player on the 1972 Braves team who wore #47. #17 was Felix Milan, #27 was Jim Hardin, and #37 was Ron Schueler. The jersey, which is relatively small, could not have belonged to Schueler who was 6’4, 205 pounds. It also likely didn’t belong to Hardin for many reasons. It was likely Milan’s #17 jersey since the “4” would have fit perfectly over Millan’s “1” in such a way that no outline of the previous number would have shown and this jersey. Would have perfectly fit the 5’11’, 172-lb. He won the Gold Glove in 1972. 1972 was Millan’s final season in Atlanta before leaving to join the Mets. Presumably this jersey was repurposed for spring training in 1973 after Millan’s departure.
