1981 Chicago White Sox Art Kusnyer Game Worn Softball Style Collared Jersey. Up for sale is a unique 1981 Chicago White Sox game worn jersey. This jersey was originally issued to bullpen coach, Art Kuysnyer. He served 19 years as a coach for the White Sox. During his playing days, Kuysnyer is best known for catching Nolan Ryan’s 2nd career no-hitter on July 15, 1973. This jersey was made by Capital Ace and is size 42. Capital Ace provided the White Sox with their softball style collared jerseys from the mid 1970s to the early 1980s. This jersey shows tons of wear. Most of the sewn on threads have lost their original color from many washings and are white now. The #15 on the back is original but the inner parts of the number patch had been removed/fallen off probably due to excessive washings or use. The “Chicago” team name patches on the front are original. Additionally, an outline of a nameplate is visible on the back. This jersey was probably sent down to the minor leagues at some point where the nameplate was removed and where this jersey probably accrued most of its wear and tear. Please check out the photos for specifics and judge it for yourself as the photographed jersey is the exact one you will receive. Dont let this one slip away!! Feel free to ask me any questions.
