During his career ad a starter and reliever, he amassed 86 wins, 318 saves and 1,030 strikeouts, with a career ERA of 3.57. The jersey is a sharp gray v-neck pull-over jersey with blue neckline and classic alternating blue and orange racing stripes down both sleeves and on both sides of the jersey. A special 1-year style script “New York” team logo sewn across the chest in 2 layers of heavily textured dazzle twill — blue, bordered by orange. Beneath the team logo is Aguilera’s # 15 sewn on in the same 2 colors. The lower inside front tail of the jersey contains the Rawlings tag which features the size of the jersey (44) and the wash instructions. Also sewn into the tail are a special “3 inch extra length” customization tag, and a strip tag that reads “15 PO87″ indicating that this is part of special set of jerseys made for the Mets for the 1987 playoffs and was issued to Aguilera. Although the Mets ultimately did not make the playoffs in 1987, these jerseys were issued to the players and worn throughout the last month of the season so that they could be broken in. Rick signed the jersey in person in black sharpie; he is a very difficult signature, as he seldomly makes appearance at New York signing events. The back of the jersey contains a large #15 sewn into the center of the jersey in 2-color blue and orange dazzle twill material. Above the number is the name AGUILERA sewn directly onto the jersey in the same lettering. The colors are bright and vibrant — and although the jersey shows some use, it is in fantastic condition. A rare classic style, that is over 30 years old, and worn by a World Series Champion and All-Star!
