The jersey originally had the name on the back, but the Rangers re-used their major league jerseys in the minors for years and so removed the names. This jersey has the names Neilsen and Schmidt written inside the tail. Neilsen is probably Steve Nielsen, who played for Rangers minor league teams in the late 1970’s and early 1980s. Schmidt is probably Dave Schmidt, who was drafted by the Rangers and played for them through 1985, then played for the White Sox, Orioles, Expos and Mariners before retiring in 1992.
