On the front left tail is the Wilson manufacturers tag size “42” with washing instructions. Adjacent above is a strip tag reading “80 1″ embroidered in red chain stitching. Across the chest reads “CINCINNATI”. Adjacent below and on the back is the player number “15” and across the back is the player name “FOSTER”. All numbering and lettering is done in red tackle twill. There is red tinging on the underarms from the player’s undershirt. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Mets left hander George Stone Size 43/44 1975 game used Mets road gray button up seven button jersey. Stone pitched in 13 games for the Mets in 1975-starting 11 of them… He got a late start on the season, making his first appearance in San Diego vs. The Padres on June 13th… He pitched through the end of the season, but, this would prove to be his last season in Major League baseball… Stone ended his career with 9 years in the big leagues, starting his big league career with the Braves in 1967… He pitched for them through 1972. The Rawlings tagging is on the exterior front right tail with size 44 on a Rawlings tag. There is an adjacent flag tag with Set #8P 1975 that has use. The team tag in the collar with “43 75 40″ which means size 43, 1975 season, uniform number 40.. The jersey has “Mets” sewn on the front of the jersey in blue with orange trim, and, has the number “40” sewn on the back of the jersey. They are blue with orange trim. The Mets skyline patch is sewn to the left sleeve. The last two pictures show the use on this jersey… The jersey shows use, but, overall remains in solid condition. It is not very faded from the sun as Stone started all of his game until the last couple of weeks of the season, so, he spent games in the dugout rather than in the sun of the bullpen. Names on back of jerseys were added in 1979. Names did not appear on Mets jerseys in 1975 and there are no signs of a nameplate having ever been on this jersey. George Springer 2014 Game Used Astros Home Jersey & Hat. This Majestic Cool-Base jersey is the style the team wore during home games. The jersey is a size 46 and features the Majestic tracking tagging in the tail, reading “46 S6 2014″ for the size, set, and year. The jersey also features the important “0630” inside tag, verifying this is a jersey issued to the team and not for retail sale. The jersey features the Astros team patch on the left sleeve. This jersey shows INCREDIBLE use, with fraying to lettering, tons of wash wear, fading of tagging, and piling. The jersey is authenticated (HZ 327453) as “Team Issued” by MLB since the authenticator did not witness the jersey coming off of Springer. ROAD GREY, GAME USED, GAME WORN. With AWESOME SLEEVE PATCH. The offered item is a truly scarce, original, 1975 Chicago Cubs Game-Used, Road Gray, double-knit, pullover uniform, worn by 11 year veteran Major League Catcher GEORGE MITTERWALD. The jersey exhibits expected obvious usage wear, as Mitterwald played in 84 games in 1975 for the Cubs, 59 games as a catcher and 10 games at first base, with 15 pinch hit appearances. He had 200 at-bats in 1975 and hit 5 Home Runs. The jerseys themselves are tough enough to find in any condition, but most I’ve seen have had alterations with name and or number changes or removals, etc. This beauty is ALL-ORIGINAL! Historically, the knits from the 1970’s were notoriously recycled to the minor leagues. The double-knit jersey is trimmed with blue around the V-neck and around the sleeve ends. Tackle-twill block letters spelling “CHICAGO” are arched across the chest. The jersey back has the uniform number 15, in the same color schemed blue tackle twill. EACH of the above individual identifiers, patches, and letters are ALL original to the jersey. They have never been removed and or replaced. In either event, there are no replacements for certain.
