This old wool baseball uniform appears to date to the 1920’s as it is a sun collar style and has no uniform number on the back of the jersey. Uniform numbers did not become popular until the late 1920’s. The makers cloth label reveals it was made by TREMAN and KING Athletic Outfitters of Ithaca New York. I have heard that Treman & King made all kinds of sporting goods including baseball bats, gloves and uniforms and even was a supplier to CORNELL University sports teams. Treman & King products from this time period show up very seldom and are sought after by collectors. The cloth label is in nice condition but stitching has come loose at the ends. The player name and size tags which appear to have been just below are long gone. It is however a full adult size as the jersey measures 22″ arm pit to arm pit and 32″ top to bottom. I would guess that might make it a men’s size 42 or 44? In pretty good shape but does show a great deal of use and has a couple of holes and repairs.
