The late Jimmy Stewart was a native of Alabama who graduated from Lafayette High School and went in to a ten year Big League career. “Stew” played for the Cubs, White Sox, Reds and Astros. He was a versatile player who earned another nickname of Super Sub. The name on back has been removed, and it seems the jersey was used again, probably in the Minors as noted with the interior marker writing (looks like “Dull”) above the rear number.
